Duck Tape® Pennant Bunting Necklaces

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Duck Brand for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

It's (finally) spring! Here in southern Idaho, we've been having absolutely gorgeous weather. There are flowers, leaves and bright colors everywhere. I was inspired by my kids excitement for the season to make these fun pennant bunting necklaces with my daughter. It's like wearing a party around your neck to welcome spring!

Isn't that too cute? It's a super fun and easy craft that you can do with your kids, and makes a festive necklace for playing outside in. Because thank God they can go outside and play now, am I right?

The super nice people from Duck Tape® sent us some of their new colors of tape for this project! (We were especially excited about the glitter tape, so much fun!)

My daughter chose the pink glitter tape to start with. Anyone shocked? I didn't think so! What girl wouldn't be excited about pink glitter tape? Heck, I was excited about it!

1. You will need: Duck Tape® in different colors, some beads with large holes, some embroidery thread or string (I used colored beading string) and scissors.
2. Start by pulling your tape off the roll. Check out how pretty this is! The tape is actually clear so you can see through the glitter.
3. Cut about 1/2 to 2/3 of an inch strip of tape off the end.

4. Hold out your piece of tape and make sure it's mostly even. This one needed a tiny bit of a trim.
5. Holding your string straight, gently press the middle of the tape down across the string.
6. Fold the tape over on itself, sticky sides together.
7. Press the tape firmly together.

8. Take your sissors and gently cut a triangle out of the bottom of your tape.
9. Now you have mini glitter bunting!
10. Next thread a bead on (this is optional, but makes for a cute detail and is fun for the kids)
11. Begin adding more tape buntings to your necklace, alternating beads and tape bunting.

Pretty soon you'll get this:

The more kinds of tape you use, the more festive your necklace will be! We used the silver and pink glitter Duck Tape®, as well as the metallic silver and bright green. So springy!
