What girl doesn't love a good spa treatment? Am I right? And who doesn't love coffee? And I (Jessica) know I'm not the only person who has secretly dreamed of slathering coffee all over myself...well now I can! Thus I give you my recipe for Pumpkin Spice Latte Body Scrub!
I was reading through the ebook Simple Scrubs to Make and Give by Stacey Karen from our crazy ebook bundle sale, and the coolest part of this ebook is that she gives you the basic formula to create your own scrubs. So I made one of her recipes (which is awesome!), and then I made one of my own, which I am going to show you how to make today!
This scrub both exfoliates and moisturizes, and--extra awesome--the caffeine from the coffee grounds used help combat cellulite! Caffeine is the number one ingredient in almost all cellulite fighting creams and lotions, and straight coffee grounds also do an awesome job.
Mmmm...doesn't that look good enough to eat? You actually could! And it probably would be delicious. Crunchy, and delicious.
Pumpkin Spice Latte Body Scrub
1 cup brown sugar (or raw sugar)
1/4 cup grape seed oil (I got mine at Winco! I'm cheap like that. You can also use Olive Oil in a pinch, but it has a smell and grape seed oil is odorless)
1/2 cup coffee grounds
2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/2 tsp almond oil (or extract)
This is seriously the easiest process ever! Watch this:
1. Measure out your brown sugar:
2. Add your grape seed oil:
3. Add the coffee grounds and spices and mix well. Let it sit for a bit so that the oil evenly saturates all the sugar:
4. You can put the mixture into a pretty canning jar, or you can use an old cleaned up jam jar like I did:
