Whip it up Wednesday: Apple Nachos!

I have a confession to make, my husband made this dessert. After he finished rubbing my back and playing a Polly Pocket board game with our daughter. I know, I know...he's amazing.

Ok, so this is our favorite easy dessert! They are delicious, quick to make, and (sort of) healthy. Depending on what you put on them, they could be super healthy. This recipe takes about five minutes and is just the perfect amount for my husband and I and our four year old daughter. If you need to feed a larger crowd all you have to do to is slice up more apples.

You will need:*
3-5 apples, cored and sliced fairly thin
about 1/4 cup peanut butter, we used my homemade coconut oil peanut butter
chocolate chips
shredded coconut
slivered almonds

*You could really use anything and everything you think would be delicious. We've also used raisins, walnuts, jam, chocolate sauce, melted caramel, m&m's, peanuts...pretty much whatever you have on hand!*

1. Melt peanut butter in the microwave until it's runny, then drizzle over your apples.

2. Sprinkle toppings over melted peanut butter so they stick. Use as much or as little as you like, we are pretty heavy handed on the chocolate chips in our house.

3. Watch them vanish into your bellies!
