What We're Loving Right Now....

I love seeing what other bloggers and friends are inspired by.  So often the best way to find out new projects or interesting crafts is to ask what other people are finding on the internet or creating themselves.

We thought we'd reciprocate and share the things we are into right now. So here's what we're craving, crafting and wearing!

What We're Craving

Hilary: Coconut-Almond Muffins.

I recently found an incredible recipe for coconut-almond muffins on Food.com.  We eat gluten-free in my house and it can be tough to find good muffin recipes that aren't dry or taste weird.  We found this AMAZING recipe online and have made them multiple times.  WARNING: They are incredibly addicting.  The first time my husband made them, we ate 18 in two days.  So the next time we made them, we found that they freeze super well, so we put them in little baggies and stuck them in the freezer.  When you are wanting some, set on the counter to thaw or defrost them in the microwave.

Jessica: I am craving everything PUMPKIN! 

In the last two weeks I've made pumpkin oatmeal, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin butter, and pumpkin baby food. I'm drinking pumpkin spice coffee with pumpkin spice creamer in the morning as well! My kids share my love of pumpkin, but my poor husband is not a fan. Ha! Too bad the majority rules! 

My favorite right now is hands down this pumpkin muffin recipe which my daughter and I have made three times now. It's low-calorie and super easy, and they are some of the most luscious, moist muffins I've ever made! We just made a batch and froze them for quick meals on school mornings. Just pop a frozen muffin in the microwave and you've got breakfast on the go!

What We're Crafting

Hilary: Homemade dresses.

I love the comfortable look of a dress over leggings and boots for fall weather.  However, being on a tight budget, I don't have a lot of money to go buy a super cute dress from Target or Kohl's.  So I've been scouring the internet for easy and cute patterns for dresses!  Some of the best ones I've found are the tutorial for an adorable high-waisted dress, a super easy jersey tunic dress, and a t-shirt dress from a men's oversized t-shirt from stopthefacades on Craftster.

I love this dress and will be trying out some of these tutorials soon!

Jessica: I have been working on making cute crocheted ear warmer/head wraps. I love the ones that are super chunky and have an oversized bow or flower like this one from Little Rays of Sunshine:

I've been oogling some really cute ones for a while, and decided I am just going to wing it and write my own pattern! I think I'm close, and I'll be sure to post the pattern here when I've gotten it right.  

What We're Wearing

Hilary: Leopard everything!  I am totally obsessed with leopard print.  Jessica got me hooked on it.  I bought leopard flats at Target (they are on sale right now!) and now I want more.  I really want a leopard cardigan as a way to add a bit of excitement to jeans and solid colored tank top.  I would have never guessed it, but leopard is a great neutral.  My shoes have brown, black and tan in them, so I can wear them with anything and they are a great way to try out the trend without going over the top!

Jessica: I am excited about my tall boots over my new boot socks. I own several pairs of knee high boots, and just invested in some black and grey boot socks to go with them. I'm looking forward to trying them layered over jeans and leggings for added texture and interest (plus they're warm). I've got several outfits pinned on my personal style board for inspiration. I may even try making my own out of old sweater sleeves like this awesome pattern from Made By Lex.
